I’m the first to admit that I’m not a super bendy person.
I didn’t do gymnastics as a kid, I wasn’t a cheerleader, and I didn’t spend a year in Bali doing yoga (life regrets 🤦♀️).
In fact, I didn’t get truly consistent and disciplined about doing regular mobility work until a few years ago.
As you know, if you have limited mobility, your strength training and movement patterns will suffer big time.
But during my recent years of mobility practice, there are a handful of stretches that have noticeably opened up my hips, shoulders, and spine. I’ve made some solid mobility gainz, and I want to share some of the most bang-for-your-buck stretches with you!
Follow along with me and do three of my favorite Flexible Steel stretches:
[1] THE BRETTZEL
Improves thoracic spine mobility, shoulder mobility, and there’s some hip mobility in there too.
[2] THE TACTICAL FROG
One of the best hip openers and groin stretches out there! Do this stretch daily and your squat will improve drastically.
[3] THE PUMP STRETCH
For shoulder mobility, hamstrings, calves, and total body flexibility.
