CATHERINE BUCK LE

HI! I’M CAT

I am a StrongFirst Team Leader Elite instructor.

I believe everyone can experience life-changing transformation through the dedicated skill practice of strength training.

I first started training with kettlebells in 2014 when Chau and I opened our gym, Krav Maga Seattle. I earned my SFG1 in 2015, completed the SFB in 2016, the SFG2 in 2017, the SFL in 2018, and achieved StrongFirst Elite status in 2019. Over the years, I’ve coached hundreds of students at our gym in addition to assisting and leading teams at StrongFirst certifications and workshops.

In my twenties, I struggled with food and exercise. I battled my body with hours of cardio and had an uninformed, restrict-and-binge mindset around food. I felt lost, frustrated, and trapped. I knew I needed to build a positive relationship with my body and upgrade my emotional self-image.

Learning the skill of strength and achieving my first StrongFirst instructor certification (the SFG1) changed the course of my life. Through learning from my coaches and mentors, immersing myself in the StrongFirst system, and teaching my students, I discovered the power of dedicated, disciplined training.

I went from being someone who was always “working out” to being an athlete who trains for goals and practices skills.

My goal as a coach is to lead my students to live happier, more fulfilled lives through working towards strength goals and overcoming self-limiting beliefs. I lead by example and teach my students to achieve their full potential using the tools of strength training, quality movement, nutrition, and self-reflection.

Through the discipline of strength training, we can learn and master all the skills necessary to become our most powerful, confident selves.

In addition to being a certified instructor under StrongFirst, Flexible Steel, Ground Force Method, TRX, and NASM, I am also a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified nutrition coach.

When I’m not training or coaching, you can find me traveling, hiking, paddleboarding, and enjoying the outdoors with my husband Chau and our Rhodesian Ridgeback Gracie.

CHAU LE

HI! I’M CHAU

Pronounced “Cho”.  Rhymes with bro and Trudeau.

If you’re willing to put in the work, then I will absolutely love coaching you and I will do whatever it takes to help you achieve your goals.

To be clear, you have to be ready to work.  If you’re not self-motivated or you’re afraid of hard work, then I’m not the coach for you.  But if your ego is small and your work ethic is big, then we’ll accomplish great things together.

I am a Black Belt Krav Maga coach under Krav Maga Worldwide.  I have been teaching Krav Maga since 2007 and am proud to be the only Black Belt Krav Maga Instructor in the greater Seattle area.

As a kid, I trained in Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Kickboxing.

I found Krav Maga in 2002 and started my training under Rob Ferreira of Krav Maga Toronto, eventually earning a place on his team as a Senior Instructor.

I love the efficiency and simplicity of Krav Maga — how you can get a new student to a basic level of proficiency in a relatively short period of time.  I also appreciate how training in Krav Maga exposes you to a variety of martial arts, from boxing to wrestling to kickboxing to Jiu Jitsu.

In 2014, Cat and I opened Krav Maga Seattle, our thriving, award-winning gym.  I taught thousands of classes and prepared over 20 instructors to not only pass but dominate their KMW instructor certification courses.  Now I do one-on-one and small group coaching to ensure the highest quality training.

I am passionate about training and teaching martial arts.  In my journey to become a more well-rounded martial artist, I earned my Blue Belt in Bang Muay Thai Kickboxing in 2019.  I am currently the highest ranked Bang Muay Thai instructor in Washington State.

I believe kettlebells are the perfect strength-building tool for martial artists, which is why I dedicated over a year of training towards earning my StrongFirst SFG1 in 2021.

In addition to Krav Maga, I also train in boxing, Bang Muay Thai, various grappling arts, and kettlebells.

Whether it’s online or on the mats, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Kida!

HI! I’M

GRACIE

I’m a Rhodesian Ridgeback.  My main responsibilities include balancing treats on my nose, doing my pre-dinner obedience routine, and taking long naps.

When I go hiking with mom and dad, I carry my own backpack.  It has my water, food, collapsible bowl, booties, and poop bags in it.  I believe we should Leave No Trace when we’re in nature, so I always carry my own poop down the mountain.

My favorite things: Running really fast, chasing bunnies, Greenies, bedtime.

My least favorite things: Balloons, bath time, most other dogs.
